The Dream invokes an abstract picture. Viewers can see a mountain range, a pair of wings, a space overtaken by plant life, or even the deep ocean scenery. This painting has a special quirk of making it difficult to visually grasp the complete picture. To identify the main layer, or to locate the backdrop seem futile. Perhaps this effect is resulted from the yellow spots protruding through the red layer, while shades of red can be seen on the grinded yellow region. Furthermore, the color transition spawns an enigmatic effect between space and light within the picture.
