Nguyễn Thị Thúy Nguyệt (1989) cùng Vũ Văn Tịch (1989) là hai môn sinh được truyền nghề của Triệu Khắc Tiến. Họ cùng với thầy của mình cùng chung bước trên con đường mở rộng biên độ chất liệu của sơn ta, cho nên những sáng tác của họ thường sử dụng nhiều kỹ thuật tạo chất mới. Tranh của Nguyệt có cá tính của những phụ nữ hiện đại, sự phiêu diêu và “ngông” của nữ được đặt trong một bối cảnh rất thời đại. Nguyệt tô điểm cho những cô gái của mình xiêm y lộng lẫy, tối ưu hóa tất cả sức mạnh của các kỹ thuật sơn mài từ trang trí đến không gian mỹ thuật trên một bản phối hợp lý.  

Nguyen Thuy Nguyet (1989) along with Vu Van Tich (1989) are the heirs of Trieu Khac Tien’s skills. Since the three of them pursue the path of expanding the scope of traditional lacquer, their works often include innovative texture-building techniques. Nguyen’s paintings possess the quirks of modern women - the adventurous and bold attributes of women amidst the modern scenery. Nguyen adorned her ladies in ravishing clothes, fully optimizing all strengths of lacquer, from the decorative element to the artistic space inhabiting the balanced composition. 

Sự hoa lệ và kịch tính dường như là điểm nổi bật trong tranh của họa sĩ Nguyễn Thị Thúy Nguyệt. Nguyệt từng vẽ về các chủ đề tình yêu, chân dung phụ nữ, Phật giáo, và nhiều nhất là kiểu tranh sinh hoạt của các cô gái thành thị hiện đại. Bằng chất liệu sơn mài truyền thống, họa sĩ đưa vào đề tài rất đời thực của những người phụ nữ với son phấn, váy vóc trong vũ trường, trên sân khấu và cả những góc riêng tư khi họ tĩnh lại. Tranh của Nguyệt thường mang nhiều chi tiết. Chi tiết của áo quần, chi tiết đồ vật, thậm chí chi tiết của khoảng không tạo nên không gian sôi động nhưng man mác vẻ buồn, tàn phai, của những con người cô đơn trong đám đông hỗn tạp. Bên cạnh đó, các bức tranh thể hiện kỹ thuật tạo hình hội họa và việc làm chủ chất liệu sơn mài của họa sĩ.

Splendor and drama seem to be the highlights of painter Nguyen Thuy Nguyen’s works. She used to paint about love, women's portraits, Buddhism, and especially the routine of urban ladies. Using traditional lacquer materials, the artist brings to life the women with makeup, debonair on the dancefloor, the stage, and even during their calming private moments. The artist’s paintings often carry many details of clothes, objects, and details that manifest the lively, yet melancholy and dwindling atmosphere of lonely people among the chaotic crowd. Ultimately, the paintings exhibit the artist’s techniques and mastery of lacquer.

VỀ HOẠ SỸ NGUYỄN THỊ THUÝ NGUYỆT - ABOUT ARTIST NGUYEN THI THUY NGUYET

Họa sĩ Nguyễn Thị Thúy Nguyệt sinh năm 1989 tại Phú Thọ, Việt Nam. Năm 2015, cô tốt nghiệp cử nhân Mỹ thuật, ngành Hội hoạ, Trường Đại học Mỹ thuật Việt Nam. Tiếp đó Nguyệt mở rộng liên ngành với thời trang, theo học tại Học viện Thời trang Paris trong ba năm từ 2016 - 2019. Cô hoàn thành thạc sĩ Mỹ thuật, ngành Hội hoạ, Trường Đại học Mỹ thuật Việt Nam năm 2022. Họa sĩ theo đuổi chất liệu Sơn mài và Lụa. 

Các hoạt động nghệ thuật từ năm 2010:

2010 Giải 3 cuộc thi “Sáng tác tranh cổ động 85 năm thành lập trường Đại học Mỹ Thuật Việt Nam”.

Tặng thưởng tác phẩm: Video sắp đặt “ Bến”

2013 Bằng khen sinh viên có thành tích tiêu biểu xuất sắc nhất trong phong trào “Học sinh, sinh viên ngành Văn hóa, Thể thao và Du lịch làm theo lời Bác” lần thứ III.

Tham gia chương trình giao lưu văn hóa nghệ thuật các nước Châu Á Thái Bình Dương “JENESYS 2.0” tại Nhật Bản
Đạt giải nhất tại Triển lãm Mỹ thuật sinh viên Trường Đại học Mỹ thuật Việt Nam.

Painter Nguyen Thi Thuy Nguyet (1989) was born in Phu Tho, Vietnam, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Painting, from Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2015. Nguyet later expanded her interdisciplinary skills with fashion by enrolling at Paris Fashion Institute for three years (2016 to 2019). She completed her Master of Fine Arts with a Painting major from Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2022. The artist’s materials of choice are lacquer and silk.

2010 Awarded 3rd prize in the competition “Compose to Commemorate 85 Years of Vietnam University of Fine Arts”

Featured in the exhibition “Students create art” E.A.T
Awarded for the work: instillation video “The Dock”

2013
Received certificate of merit for the student with outstanding achievements in the 3rd movement “Students and undergraduates, majoring in Culture, Sports and Tourism heeding the words of Uncle Ho”

2014
Partook in the cultural and art exchange program of Asia Pacific nations “Jenesys 2.0” in Japan. 
Won 1st prize at the student art exhibition of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts.

2015
Awarded Gold Medal for the lacquer work “Prelude" at the 2nd Young Talent Competition for students and undergraduates of the School of Culture, Arts, Sports, and Tourism in Hue.

2022
Partook in the project “Naive as a Fairy” at 22 Hang Buom Cultural and Arts Center
